The mission of Intel Labs is to drive technology leadership for Intel. This includes coordinating research and development among several business groups and aligning Intel''s strategies and technologies with future industry needs. The Emerging Systems Lab (ESL) in the Systems and Software Research (SSR) Group in Intel Labs conducts research to identify innovative technologies and capabilities for end-to-end (edge to cloud) infrastructure and solutions.

We are looking for highly motivated intern working towards his/her PhD or Master Degree with a passion to conduct new exciting research to optimize the emerging heterogeneous Intel architectures. In this position, you will work with researchers and cloud service providers to investigate bottlenecks of different cloud and data center workloads, and investigate new optimizations and architectures to accelerate the data lookup and query operations using machine learning technologies in the cloud environment. This is an excellent chance to work on a high impact project with an emphasis on research and an excellent opportunity to publish research papers in top tier conferences.

Minimum qualifications to be considered for this position:
? Enrolled in a PhD/master program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
? Completed coursework in operating systems, networking, and distribute systems
? A strong systems background (Linux, C/C++, Python/Bash/Make)
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred qualifications:
? Computer architecture
