At the University of Iowa (http://www.uiowa.edu), we have an immediate graduate assistantship opening.
We are looking for highly motivated students with background in one or more of the following areas:
- Materials Processing and Manufacturing
- Computer modeling (FEM, dislocation dynamics, MD, or phase field simulation)
- Laser based manufacturing.
- Solid mechanics
- Materials Science, mechanical behaviors
- Renewable energy (PV, battery, photocatalysis)


PhD students in their first year or MS students who intend to continue PhD are preferred.
